Candle Safety Policy
At LUVAE, your safety is extremely important to us. Our candles are carefully crafted using natural soy wax, cotton wicks, and essential oils; however, candles are an open flame product and must always be used responsibly.
Please read and follow the safety guidelines below to ensure safe and enjoyable use of your LUVAE candle.
General Candle Safety
Never leave a burning candle unattended
Always keep candles out of reach of children and pets
Burn candles on a stable, heat-resistant surface
Keep candles away from flammable materials, draughts, and heat sources
Do not move a candle while it is lit or while wax is hot
Burning Instructions
Allow the candle to burn long enough for the wax to melt evenly across the surface on the first burn
Do not burn a candle for more than 3–4 hours at a time
Always extinguish the flame safely; do not blow forcefully
Wick Care
Trim the wick to approximately 5mm before each burn
A properly trimmed wick helps ensure a clean, even burn and prevents smoking
If the flame becomes too large or flickers excessively, extinguish the candle and allow it to cool before trimming the wick
Container & Wax Safety
The candle container may become hot during use — allow it to cool completely before handling
Stop using the candle when approximately 10mm of wax remains at the bottom of the container
Never attempt to relight a candle once it has reached the end of its burn life
Essential Oils & Sensitivities
Our candles are scented using essential oils. Individual sensitivities may vary. If irritation occurs, discontinue use immediately and ventilate the area.
